Merchant Developments also has an interest in the Property Box Finance, which provides mezzanine funding to residential property developers.  Property Box was established in 2013 to help ‘fill the gap’ between the project development cost funded by the developer’s equity and that funded by bank debt.  Funding solutions can be provided for projects from £200,000 to £20 million.  Developments have ranged from large blocks in town centres to development of smaller residential clusters, as well as refurbishment and development of large single occupancy dwellings.
